Yes! Both the seat & back cushions can be removed. The covers can be zipped off, turned inside out & machine washed in cold water; lay flat to dry.

Yes! Our Matera is made to be sumptuously soft with a reclining feature. Or choose our Grano for a beautifully tailored recliner. Both these recliner-gliders are slightly smaller than the Como.

Just What We Needed

"Hours of putting my toddler and newborn to sleep has been made way easier with our new Como Glider rocking chair. Backbreaking work has turned into a breeze. I should have purchased this years ago!"

— Brady C. (5/5)

This chair is a life-saver and there isn’t any micro-plastic in the upholstery!

"I wanted a chair that didn’t have performance fabric, or better yet, didn’t have micro-plastics in the fabric. So when I searched for fully organic fabric covered glider I found Monte Designs! Our Monte Como glider gets loads of time every day with nearly every family member rocking our new little one…. And the chair is uber comfortable, cozy fabric that wipes clean (yes, wool does that!) and is the best tool in the house to help us rock our grandson to sleep. I love it so much I sort of want one in every room. Thank you Monte Designs for getting it to me quickly and for building such great quality in your furniture. This glider will get used for years and years to come."

— amy r. (5/5)

Great chair for nursing

"This chair is very comfy and a good size (not too big) for a nursery. The only thing that is slightly annoying is that the back pillow does not have velcro to attach it to the chair, so sometimes it falls down. Otherwise a great piece of furniture."

— Jesse C. (5/5)

Beyond comfy, easy and pratical

"This chair is perfect in so many ways - comfort, design, mobility, and style!"

— Brenda B. (5/5)

So happy with this purchase!

"This might be the most comfortable piece of furniture we own. Such a great size, incredible quality, and so soft and plush. We love our new glider. We bought it for our nursery and we’re enjoying sitting in it and baby hasn’t even arrived yet. I can see that this will be a chair we will love for many years and looks so nice that it isn’t just a nursery glider, we could have it in our family room after and enjoy forever."

— Julie F. (5/5)

Get the glider!

"After not getting a glider with our first child, I decided to invest and get one with our second. I am so happy with our como glider - it’s a beautiful piece of furniture, functional, well-made/durable, and where I spend a lot of my time rocking our little one! I am so happy we decided to invest in a comfortable glider!"

— Kate L. (5/5)

We’ve enjoyed our glider so

"We’ve enjoyed our glider so far. It’s very comfortable and in the first couple weeks we’ve already had to clean up some spilled milk, which came out easily."

— Nathan K. (5/5)

Q&A

How can we clean or disinfect the pillow since it doesn't have a removable cover?
You can spot clean any areas of the your lumbar pillow with soap and water. If you'd like a more deep clean you can consult a professional upholstery cleaner, or wash the pillow on a hand wash cycle in cold water, do not put in the dryer.
How can you clean the cushion covers?
The seat and back cushion covers are removable and washable, you can spot clean following steps listed here: https://montedesign.ca/pages/caring-for-fabrics or put them in the washing machine on a delicate handwash cycle in cold water & lay flat to dry.
Is the white fabric the same material as the pebble grey? it seems the white is more suede like?
Thank you for your question! The White is a microsuede and Pebble Grey is a microfiber so the textures of the two are different. White is definitely more suede-like. We mail out up to 8 swatches free of charge if you'd like to see the two side by side https://montedesign.ca/pages/free-swatches
